In the hydrometallurgical beneficiation process of nonmetallic ore, the slurry contains a certain amount of quartz sand or impurities after being dispersed by ramming slurry. Therefore, sand removal and impurity removal are the premise of ultra-fine classification. The use of hydrocyclone for sand removal will show greater convenience.
The size and distribution of impurities are determined according to the size and distribution of raw ore. At present, the commonly used desanding hydrocyclones are Φ 350, Φ 300 (separation granularity is 200 mesh), Φ 150 and Φ 75 (separation granularity is 325 mesh), and Φ 50 (separation granularity is 600 mesh).
However, due to the different properties of raw ore, sometimes several kinds of equipment or hydrocyclones with different specifications are often used to meet the process requirements.
